Introduction

As an engineering student, when I first read about the seven major operations of Alchemy, I thought, “Wow! Chemistry”. But a few sentences later, I realized it’s not actually just in the “chemistry level”. Because when we talk about Alchemy, it’s about everything. You can relate it to anything in life, or even in non-living things, but let’s not get to that. If you’re into the operations of Alchemy in turning lead to gold, you can find a lot of that in books or in the internet. But this won’t be about chemistry, but about Alchemy on personal personal transformation.

At first, I tried to follow these seven steps starting from calcination, the destruction of the ego. I read books about ego, asked a Psychometrician, searched the internet. The problem is I just couldn’t. I felt like I was stuck on trying to let go of myself. I wanted to skip so I tried reading the other ones. And so I remembered one fundamental principle:

“All is one, and One is all.”

It wasn’t a step 1 step 2 process like in chemistry. It’s not something where you can’t proceed to the next step until you finish the first one. It’s doesn’t go like, “Yes! I’m done destructing my ego, time to immerse my self into the unconscious and let go of my conscious mind. The seven operations happen at the same time, boosting each other. You can never finish a step alone. When you finish one, you finish everything.

How did I know? I don’t know, maybe it’s just my hunch. Or a theory? I’m going to be completely honest with you, what you are about to read, or not read are all of my own opinions and theories about alchemy based on my own perspectives and experiences. If you are here looking for an answer to transform yourself, maybe I can help you find it, or maybe I can’t. But that depends on you. But just so you know, I’m just like you who is looking for answers and I write what I think about here in this blog.
So I hope were clear. What’s around here are not the descriptions or steps of the seven operations of alchemy but my own views about them. You can spend all your time looking around looking for it in books, videos, blogs, or movies, but I think you already know where you’ll find it in the end. Because no matter how simple or complicated the movie you watch, or the book you read, or no matter how great the person you meet; it all comes down to you.
Remember:

“We only see what we want to see when we’re ready to see it.” -Ted, HIMYM

If you’re ready for something, you’ll see the answer even in the most unexpected way.

He is always fascinated with science and new technologies. He dreams to travel soon, and witness the coolest techs, theories, and inventions, then meet the giant minds behind them. Despite being in the engineering field, he's also into spirituality like meditation and alchemy. He aims to meet monks and alchemists in his travels to gain wisdom from them.
